The world is still battling Coronavirus pandemic and COVID-19 cases are peaking in most countries, especially India, which ranks number 4, in the worldwide Corona meter. China, where the virus actually stems from has not just reopened it's controversial wet markers but it recently also kickstarted the extremely cruel, Dog-Meat festival in Yulin. Kartik Aaryan is a vegetarian by choice and a strong supporter of animal rights. The actor took to his social media to express his dismay over the 10-day-long festival that sees thousands of visitors gather in Yulin to eat dishes prepared out of dog meat.

Kartik Aaryan took to his social media account and shared a picture which he had shot for an animal-welfare organization with the caption, ‘Har saal dil todte hain yeh Yulin Festival waale 💔 #StopYulin #YulinKMKB.’ The actor is one of the first to raise his voice against this cruel festival that happens annually in Yulin, China. The festival's premise is to slaughter dogs and every year innumerable four-legged animals are slaughtered as a part of the festival. This festival is seen as a cruel tradition, that's a death-knell for dogs.

Kartik Aaryan is a proud vegetarian who swears by plant protein to reach his desired fitness body goal and bulk up for movies.

He had earlier revealed that he relied heavily on leafy vegetables to turn into a beast for a song in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety in 2018, and since then he has maintained a fit body by following a clean diet.
