The trailer of Nushrratt Bharuccha’s next Chhorri is out. Set to premiere on one of the OTT giants, Amazon Prime Video, this is a remake of an award-winning Marathi film, Lapachhapi. It featured Pooja Sawant and Vikram Gaikwad in the lead, the Hindi remake will see Nushrratt playing the lead. The trailer sees Nushrratt aka Sakshi who is 8 months pregnant, has to deal with monsters and some evil forces, as she resides with an old couple in the fields. She along with her husband has to leave their residence and relocate to a place away from the city's hustle.
These evil forces are said to be behind her and her unborn child. Also this old couple according to Sakshi knows more than what they share with her. Sakshi is shown trying her level best to save her unborn child, these scary happening around her, affect her mentally. Adding a spooky element to the film is the scary lullaby being played on an old transistor that haunts her. The actress sharing the trailer on Instagram wrote, “You can’t run. You can’t hide. She will find you. #Chhorii Trailer Out Now!”
Nushrratt speaking about exploring a new genre said, “Stepping into a new genre and unique genre like horror is a daunting-yet-exciting experience. While the narrative of the film is anchored in horror it also carries a perspective that I hope the audiences will relate to. The trailer is just a sneak peek of a bigger horror that is set to unravel. Also to be seen in the movie are Mita Vashisht, Rajesh Jais, Saurabh Goyal, and Yaaneea Bharadwaj. It is a joint venture by Bhushan Kumar, Krishnan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, Jack Davis, and Shikhaa Sharma.
