On Saturday, Rakul Preet Singh took to social media and announced her next film 'Chhatriwali'. The actress will be seen in a never seen before and unique avatar in the film. Produced by RVSP's Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Tejas Prabhas Vijay Deoskar, Chhatriwali is touted to be a social family entertainer. Rakul will be essaying the role of a condom tester.
Sharing the first look, Rakul wrote in the caption, "Bin mausam barsaat kabhi bhi ho sakti hai... Apni chhatri taiyaar rakhiye. Presenting the first look of #Chhatriwali."
The film will focus on a female unemployed chemistry graduate in small town Karnal who becomes a condom tester, a secret she must hide from everyone around her. Rakul is excited to be a part of the film. Sharing her excitement, she said, "It's quite an interesting and hatke subject and I am very thrilled about starting the journey of my character. It's important to highlight some issues in a light-hearted way and that has got me pretty excited." Directed Tejas Deoskar shared, "Our film is a social family entertainer, which aims at de-stigmatising the use of condoms and we are truly excited that the film has gone on floors.
