It’s D-day! Bollywood’s two of the most anticipated films, both of different genres, have finally made it to the big screens. We are talking about Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak and Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Interestingly, both Chhapaak and Tanhaji have opened to rave reviews and might just end up having a good run at the box-office. However, the political tensions in the country have divided people over these two films, thanks to Deepika Padukone visiting JNU to stand in solidarity with its students post the recently-held attacks. This irked a section of people to an extent that they demanded to boycott her Chhapaak and supporting Tanhaji instead.
Well, the clash seems to have now reached the ticket-counters of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. In a recent report by ANI, several workers from the National Students' Union of India(NSUI) have been distributing free tickets of Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak, whereas a couple of BJP workers are doing the same for Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. The visuals see them posing with many tickets in their hands. “Bhopal: workers distribute free tickets to #Chhapaak movie and BJP workers distribute free tickets to #Tanhaji movie. #MadhyaPradesh,” read ANI’s tweet.
