Chhapaak Trailer Celeb Review: Karan Johar, Neha Dhupia Are Full Of Love For Deepika Padukone And Meghna Gulzar

The power-packed trailer of Chhapaak is out now and Bollywood celebs like Karan Johar, Neha Dhupia are pretty impressed with Deepika Padukone’s portrayal of an acid attack survivor. They are full of praise for director Meghana Gulzar too for bringing this gritty tale on celluloid.

Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey’s Chhapaak finally found its way to the internet. The trailer is about Malti which is played by Deepika Padukone who was attacked with acid on the street in New Delhi, in 2005. The trailer showcases Malti’s journey from her getting attacked, struggling for justice to living a care-free life, Meghana Gulzar very beautifully depicted every single aspect of Malti’s life. When we saw the trailer, we were sure that we are in to see something extraordinary. While the Twitterati are pouring in heaps of praises for her character, Bollywood celebs too couldn’t contain their feeling and took to their social media handle and complimented the trailer and Deepika’s strong portrayal.

Karan Johar tweeted, saying, “Heartbreaking!! The trailer was released on World Human Rights Day and talking about the same, she quoted by Mid Day, “It is actually a nice coincidence that our trailer is getting launched on the 10th of December, which also happens to be - Human Rights Day. Chhapaak is a story of acid violence. The basic act of acid violence violates the human rights of the person who is attacked by acid and their life, their physicality is changed forever.”


Directed by Meghna Gulzar, Produced by Fox Star Studios, Deepika Padukone, Vikrant Massey, Govind Singh Sandhu, and Meghna Gulzar, written by Atika Chohan and Meghna Gulzar, Chhapaak is set to hit theatres on 10th January 2020.
