Last year, a few days after actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic demise, director Rumy Jafry revealed that he was planning to do a film with the late actor and Rhea Chakraborty. However, the film didn’t materialise due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, now, in a recent chat, Chehre director Rumy Jafry revealed that he wants to work on the film that he had written for Sushant Singh Rajput. However, it is not being reported if he is talking about the same film with SSR and Rhea or he is talking about another script with the late actor.

Reportedly, he claimed the script to be SSR’s favourite script and surely wants to revive it now. Speaking to ETimes, Rumy says, “Now that Chehre is out there, I found the opportunity to pull out the script I wrote for Sushant and I read it. Now I have to decide with whom to make the film and when to make it. You know, each time I looked at the script it reminded me of Sushant, so I used to put it back on the shelf. It has been over a year now and it was his favourite script, so I will surely make it.’’

Sushant Singh Rajput reportedly ended his life at his Bandra house on June 14, 2020. The actor was one of the talented actors in Bollywood who has delivered hits like Chhichhore, MS Dhoni, Kai Po Che and more.
The filmmaker continues to support Rhea and even plans to work with her in the future. He says, “We are no one to pass judgment on Rhea Chakraborty. It is for the court to decide her fate. Besides, we are now seeing a change in the public perception and I am sure it is God’s will too.”
