After 4 long years, Bollywood Anushka Sharma announced that she is all set to be back on the screens. Today she shared a teaser of her upcoming movie titled Chakda Xpress. The movie is based on the life of former Indian cricket team captain Jhulan Goswami and highlights the tournament played between India and the Australian cricket team. However, the enthusiasm witnessed when men in blue play against Australia, was missing. The film teaser has an intriguing question, which will grab your attention.
The question is “If cricket is a religion, why are men the only Gods?”. This teaser is to announce the film to go on floors very soon, Prosit Roy who is directing Chakda Xpress, had earlier directed the actress in the movie, Pari. Also, the movie will be produced under Anushka Sharma-Karnesh Sharma’s production banner, Clean Slate Filmz. The Zero actress sharing the teaser penned a long note that mentioned how this film is a special film, as it narrates a tale of tremendous sacrifice.
Her Instagram post read, “It is a really special film because it is essentially a story of tremendous sacrifice. Chakda Xpress is inspired by the life and times of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami and it will be an eye-opener into the world of women’s cricket. At a time when Jhulan decided to become a cricketer and make her country proud on the global stage, it was very tough for women to even think of playing the sport.
