CBFC Gets A New Film Certificate Design; Prasoon Joshi Unveils New Digital Plan

The nation is marching ahead on the path of Digital India introduced by honourable PM of India, Narendra Modi. Taking a cue, the entertainment world too is being digital-savvy. With many advanced technologies making life easier for movie buffs, the Central Board of Film Certification has also set its foot on this path.  According to reports published in India Today, the chairman person, Prasoon Joshi shared CBFC's new certificate design across India. The new certificate design is implemented in nine regional offices, mentions the reports

As per the press release issued by Press Information Bureau (PIB), Chairperson Prasoon Joshi said in his statement, “The certificate is interactive and it reflects the modern digital world, leveraging the ease that technology has brought in the organisation’s work processes.” The press release further stated the new certificate being user-friendly, making it easier for the audience to get all the deets about the movie at a click of a button. Just like the earlier certificate, all the information on the certificate remains the same, with an add-on QR code on the right-hand side of the certificate.ALSO READ: Bombay High Court Bashes CBFC, Says “You Will Not Decide What One Wants To Watch"

 

As per the press release, this QR code on the certificate will enable the viewers to know the cast, synopsis, and trailer of the movie. The user needs to scan this QR code on their smartphone redirecting them to the CBFC site displaying all the above mentioned as well as the other basic details of the movie.
