A few months back, it was reported that the David Dhawan directed film Chashme Baddoor was getting a much awaited sequel. After bringing Sajid Samji on board as the director, there were a lot of speculations around the star cast of the film and it was rumored that the sequel will star Jacqueline Fernandez and Kartik Aaryan.
A new report published in Mumbai Mirror claims that the title of the film was earlier Kirik Party and now it has been changed to Chashme Baddoor 2. Also, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sunny Singh of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety fame will be seen in the rom-com, and not Kartik-Jacqueline.
The report in the tabloid suggests that the director approached Jacqueline Fernandez for the lead role but things didn’t materialise. The source close to the project quoted, “The idea was to have a fresh pairing, and after Sunny who is being appreciated for his special appearance in the recently released De De Pyaar De came on board, the makers are now in talks with Fatima and hopeful of getting her nod”, reports Mirror.
The source further adds, “It is currently in prep with the team zeroing in on the locations and getting the logistics in place”. Just like its prequel, Chashme Baddoor 2 will also feature more actors and we will bring you details on the names soon.
