Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra has been in the making since inception. The film got delayed multiple times but the makers of the film have finally locked a date and the film will be releasing in December. Even though the film's release date is set, there are some scenes that are yet to be shot. There are still 26 days of shooting left and the filmmaker is planning to resume the shoot from October onwards with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor who will be shooting in double shifts for Brahmastra from October, claimed Mid-Day.
As per the online portal, the double shifts can only happen when the crisis is relatively under control. Ayan has also planned to break the shifts in two with minimal crew and also following the safety measures and guidelines. A trade source told the portal, "If the crisis is relatively under control, and things go as planned, the film will go back on floors in October. Ayan has broken down the shoot into two shifts — 9 am to 2 pm, followed by another from 4 pm to 9 pm. There will be two separate minimal crews for the stints, with each unit adhering to on-set safety guidelines. Since producer Karan Johar is eyeing a June 2021 release, Ayan wants to wrap up the shoot latest by December."
As the government has prohibited individuals above 65 years from working, the makers are hoping that it will be reversed soon, thus enabling Amitabh Bachchan who is in the hospital for his COVID-19 treatment to join them.
Meanwhile, Brahmastra starring Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor will be releasing on December 4, 2020. The film also stars Mouni Roy, Saurav Gurjar, Nagarjuna and Dimple Kapadia in the key roles. ALSO READ: Brahmastra: Ranbir Kapoor And Alia Bhatt Starrer's First Look To Be Released In August?
