Bollywood filmmaker Boney Kapoor is awaiting the release of his upcoming film Maidaan, starring Ajay Devgn, Priyamani, and Gajraj Rao. Over the past few weeks, he has been shedding light on his personal life and his relationship with his kids Arjun Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, and Khushi Kapoor. In a recent interview, he opened up about his son and how his separation from his first wife Mona Shourie Kapoor affected Arjun. He revealed that the actor had to face the consequences of it in school.

During an interaction with Bollywood Hungama, the 68-year-old producer-actor opened up about the challenges his son, Arjun Kapoor faced over the years. From his parents separating, his mother’s untimely demise to his films tanking at the box office, Boney credited his son for being the strongest in their family. He stated that the Ishaqzaade actor “has been through some kind of turmoil,” be it his life or his career. Despite facing many difficulties in life, the 38-year-old actor always showed resilience and strength. Quoted by Pinkvilla, the Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar actor recalled, “I was separated from Mona, so he had to face the brunt in his school. Then his mother passed away which was a major loss. Then some films didn’t work and that was again a major setback. Adding to the same, Kapoor expressed that his son is very talented and has a great personality. He has faith that Arjun will one day show his potential with the right film. 

On the work front, Boney Kapoor is currently busy in the promotions of Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan. During a recent media interaction, he announced that No Entry 2 is in the making. The much-anticipated sequel of the Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan starrer will star Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh in lead roles. The trio will reportedly be seen romancing 10 heroines in the film. On the other hand, Arjun Kapoor will also be seen in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe as a villain.
