During an interview with iDream Media, the filmmaker expressed his desire to purchase a house in Hyderabad, citing the immense love the legendary actress received there. The acclaimed filmmaker highlighted her significant contribution to Telugu cinema, with 70-80 Telugu movies despite her extensive filmography. Even Janhvi acknowledged her mother's special bond with the Telugu film industry, making it feel like home even today. In the interview, Boney showered praises on Sridevi, emphasizing her enduring impact. The Mr India producer further quipped, "Main Hyderabad me jo ghar soch raha tha for my wife to have another home here because she, besides doing a lot of Telugu films I think about 70-75 films in Telugu, she was loved here like she was loved in Hindi heartland. she was loved in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka...all over.. world over."
Continuing the interview, the 68-year-old further explained that his desire to acquire a home in Hyderabad stemmed from Sridevi's deep comfort with the city. Fondly reminiscing about their time there, he recalled savouring delicious Andhra dishes together. However, he admitted that after a while, the idea of purchasing a home lost its appeal. He stated, "I wanted a home in Hyderabad because she was very comfortable there, and we enjoyed Andhra cuisine. But later, I didn't feel the urge to make efforts to buy a house here. I keep coming and going."
