Ranbir Kapoor is all set to begin shooting with Shraddha Kapoor for Luv Ranjan’s next project. The two were seen jetting off to New Delhi a few days ago to kickstart shooting for the film. As prep for the film is on, it was being reported that Boney Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia will play the role of Ranbir’s parents in the yet-untitled film. Now, Boney Kapoor has confirmed his role in the film and said that it was his son Arjun Kapoor who persuaded him.

Boney Kapoor recently made a cameo appearance in Vikramaditya Motwane’s AK vs AK, which stars Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap in the lead roles. Now, he will be seen in a full-fledged role as Ranbir’s father in Luv Ranjan’s film. He said that when the script was being written, the team wanted ‘someone like Boney Kapoor’ to play the character of Ranbir’s father. While he was reluctant at first and turned it down, he was then persuaded by his son Arjun Kapoor to take up the role.

Boney Kapoor, in an interview with Mid-Day, said, “Luv insisted I do the role. He reached out to Arjun, who persuaded me for it. While the team will be shooting at a stretch in Delhi, they have given me the liberty to fly down to Mumbai and attend to my productions.” He said that he isn’t nervous about acting in the film. “I don't have butterflies in my stomach. I have been calm during life's ups and downs, so why should I feel apprehensive now?” he said.

Meanwhile, a video of Ranbir Kapoor is going viral on social media, and has been shared by several fan pages of the actor. Ranbir was spotted in New Delhi, and the video showed him in the hotel premises, chatting with someone. Take a look at it below:
