Bombay High Court Orders Music Composer Sajid Khan And His Mother To Disclose All Assets Of Late Wajid Khan In Response To Kamalrukh Khan's Testamentary Petition - REPORT

As per the latest update, music composer Sajid Khan and his mother have been asked to disclose all assets of Wajid Khan after his widow filled a testamentary petition

Well-known music composer Wajid Khan of Sajid-Wajid duo passed away last year. Later, his wife Kamalrukh Khan penned a long note on social media revealing the reason behind their separation. She mentioned of having religious differences between her and his family, thus leading to their split. Now, Kamalrukh Khan has reportedly moved to Bombay High Court filing a testamentary petition against Sajid Khan and his mother concerning the property of Wajid Khan.

As per the latest update made by Live Law, the Bombay High Court has directed Sajid Khan and his wife to disclose all the assets of Wajid Khan. "The Respondents will file an Affidavit in Reply on or before 21st April 2021. The Reply is to disclose the entire estate of the deceased the late Mr. Wajid S Khan along with the necessary tax returns and their accompanied computation of income or sale. Also required will be the returns of the Limited Liability Company in which the deceased had an interest. All other similar commercial entities in which the deceased had any interest or share (apart from regular investments) are also to be disclosed with their complete financials," stated Justice Gautam Patel,as per an order passed this month. She has also reportedly filed testamentary petition demanding to probate of her late husband's last Will made in August 2012. 

Earlier, Kamalrukh Khan on social media expressed gratitude as the Bombay High Court decided to safeguards Wajid Khan's properties. On Instagram, she wrote, "The hon.High Court ensures that Wajid's assets are safeguarded and instructs his family to disclose all assets. One step closer to getting my children their inheritance. Gratitude to the hon.High Court, Zubin Behramkamdin & Bahraiz Irani. #justice #gratitude."
