Ace Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan passed away last year. She breathed her last on July 3, 2020, in a Mumbai hospital. The choreographer suffered a cardiac arrest at 71. Almost a year after the choreographer’s demise, according to a report, a biopic on Saroj Khan is in the making. The report stated that a public notice has been issued in the newspapers by Naik&Naik. As per the report, the public notice announced that a film on Saroj Khan is in the works, which will document her struggles, events and incidents in the late choreographer’s life.
According to a report in the Times of India, the public notice issued stated that whoever has any objection or claim of whatsoever nature against or in relation to the life rights of Saroj Khan must come forward and make it known in writing, with proof. The report read, “If anyone has any objection or claim of whatsoever nature against or in relation to the life rights of Saroj Khan by way of assignment pledge gift mortgage, charge, sale, litigations, and or transfer of any kind or any manner whatsoever, are required to make it known in writing, along with documentary proof within 15 days of the notice."
Meanwhile, reacting to the report, Saroj Khan’s daughter Sukayna Khan said she will inform and mentioned she cannot say anything at the moment. She said, “I cannot say anything right now. We haven't spoken to anyone and when it happens, I will inform you".
During her illustrious career as a choreographer in Bollywood, Saroj Khan has over 300 films to her credit and has choreographed more than 2,000 songs. Khan rose to fame in the late eighties, choreographing Sridevi superhits like Main Naagin Tu Sapera from film Nagina and Hawaa Hawaai from Mr India. She is a three-time National Award winner and has choreographed dance tracks like Dola Re Dola from Devdas, Ek Do Teen from Madhuri Dixit starring Tezaab and Ye Ishq Haaye from Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Jab We Met.
