In the days following Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, there was social media outrage as Netizens called out nepotism, bullying, and power play in Bollywood. Among those who faced the heat were star kids as well as Bollywood biggies. Mahesh Bhatt, Alia Bhatt also faced flak on social media, and now, Bharatiya Janata Party MP Babul Supriyo has said that it was due to Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt’s comments that Alia Bhatt had to face ‘dirt on social media’.
Singer-politician Babul Supriyo came out in support of Alia Bhatt, and in his tweet, he wrote, “Here's the prob If a super-matured senior personality like #MaheshBhatt met #SushanthSinghRajput just twice, what gave him the right to compare #SSR to Parveen Babijee? Its bcuz of Maheshji/Mukeshji's comments that super-talented @aliaa08had to face such 'Dirt' on SocialMedia.” He further said that the trolling Alia Bhatt faced after that was ‘criminal’. “Ws appalled to see the kind of 'criminal' trolling @aliaa08had to faceWud expect @MumbaiPoliceto identity&arrest the culprits soonYes, StarKids do get gr8 launches easily but it's only talent that defines if they meet success or failure & @aliaa08hs proved she pure talent,” tweeted Babul Supriyo.
