Ever since
Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Bramhastra has been announced,
the film has become the talk of the town. Now Namit Malhotra, the co-producer
of the project told a leading daily, that the film will be released in 3D.
"We will
shoot it the regular way and then convert it into 3D. The visual effects and
conversion quality will be superlative," he said. “The films will progress
from establishing the characters to the protagonist achieving his goal. Ayan's
vision will strike a chord with everyone, from the ages of six to 60. In
terms of concept, it doesn't share any similarities with other Bollywood
superhero films, like Krrish [2006]. The title itself conveys that the story is
rooted in our cultural heritage,” he further added.

As per reports,
the budget of the film is Rs 150 crore to which Namit said, “We aspire to
create something homegrown that can match Hollywood standards. We can't be
penny-pinching with the scale. Hollywood has moved from dramas and rom-coms to
big scale films, which makes more money eventually. India too is getting
there."
A few days ago,
director producer Karan Johar announced the project on the social media. Karan
tweeted, "A TRILOGY ...A FANTASY ADVENTURE....A LABOUR OF LOVE.....”BRAHMĀSTRA
(sic).” Karan made sure that he made this announcement on Amitabh's 75th
birthday (Oct 11).

This will also be
the first time Ranbir and Alia are paired opposite each other in a film. It
shall be interesting to see how these three superstars will make a mark with
such a huge franchise.
Brahmastra will
mark Ayan's return to direction after two successful films - Wake Up Sid (2009)
and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013).
