Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh had filed an FIR in Patna, accusing Rhea Chakraborty of abetment of Sushant’s suicide. A few days ago, Rhea was also arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau, who is investigating the drugs-related case linked to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Over the last few weeks, Rhea has been at the receiving end of extreme hatred and online abuse. After Rhea’s arrest, several celebrities such as Shibani Dandekar, Anurag Kashyap, Vidya Balan, Sonam Kapoor, and others demanded Justice for Rhea. Now, the Congress party in West Bengal showed their support to Rhea Chakraborty, calling her ‘daughter of Bengal’.

In their tweet, they called her ‘daughter of Bengal’ and stated that vindictive behavior against her won’t be tolerated. West Bengal Congress tweeted pictures of the rally, along with a Tweet that read, “Political conspiracy and vindictive behaviour against Rhea Chakraborty, the daughter of Bengal, will not be tolerated.” Sharing details about the rally, the tweet further added, “The protest rally was taken out from provincial Congress office to Wellington junction on the instructions of Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, president of the West Bengal Congress.”

Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau and she is in Byculla Jail in Mumbai.


Meanwhile, after hearing Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty’s bail plea, the Mumbai sessions court reportedly rejected bail on Friday, implying that Rhea, Showik will remain in jail. Republic reported that Rhea and her brother are likely to move to Bombay High Court challenging the sessions court’s order.
