Ever since the makers of
Bala starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar, released the trailer, the movie has been embroiled in controversies. Beginning with the movie’s box office clash with Sunny Singh’s, Udja Chaman, which was
ultimately averted with the movie releasing in the previous week, followed by
Bhumi being criticized by her dark skin avatar on the silver screen and now one more hurdle has been added to the list. Seems like stars are not a favouring position for Ayushmann this time.
As per reports in IANS, now the movie has pulled in plagiarism turmoil. Ayushmann’s upcoming film is facing claims made by a rookie director Kamal Kant Chandra, of stealing his script. Ultimately demanding for a stay on the movie release, as per his accusation, the makers have straightway picked the concept of his life. The reports further stated of Kamal in the past approaching the actor with a story of a man who faces premature balding at a very early age in his life. Though the meeting was fixed, the actor did not turn up for the meeting, after a year of chasing Ayushmann for the same; he was informed by the actor’s manager of being disinterested in the project. I sent him a legal notice. I also filed a case against him and the makers in Bombay High Court in March. ‘Bala’ producer Dinesh Vijan’s company said that they were working on the script that time. I moved the Supreme Court in October 2019. There was a hearing today (November 4) in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has ordered Bombay High Court to resolve the matter before ‘Bala’ releases on November 8.”
“I want that there should be a permanent stay on the film and that I get to make the film. It is basically my biopic. It’s my life story.”
