Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer 2015 blockbuster ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is one of the most loved films. Directed by Kabir Khan, the movie collected over Rs 300 crore at the box office, and is among the top five grossers. In a time when sequels of the iconic movies are quite a trend in Bollywood, fans would surely love to watch 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2'. And, Salman Khan confirmed its sequel at the RRR event held in Mumbai on Sunday, December 19.
The Sultan actor graced the event to show support for Rajamouli and the entire team of 'RRR'. Hosted by Karan Johar, the event was attended by S S Rajamouli, Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Alia Bhatt. Speaking at the event, Salman made the big announcement that Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 is on the cards. The sequel will reportedly be written by S S Rajamouli's father, K. V. Vijayendra Prasad.
KJo asked, “So can we say, this is the official announcement of the film?.” The Dabangg actor also showered praise on Ram Charan and stated that he knows him for a long time. Calling Charan the ‘most hardworking’ man, Salman said every time he meets Ram Charan, he is injured because of the efforts he puts into his every project.
While lauding RRR and its team, Salman warned that no one should release their film for four months to avoid the massive competition.
Talking about, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, the film narrates the story of Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi,(Salman) an ardent devotee of Hindu deity Hanuman, who embarks on a journey to take a mute six-year-old Pakistani Muslim girl Shahida,( Harshaali Malhotra) separated in India from her parents, back to her hometown in Pakistan.
