He has won fans all over the world and now he is headed to meet some of them in Egypt.
Amitabh Bachchan is visiting that country to be the guest of honour at the India by the Nile Festival 2015- the actor will inaugurate the event that features classical and contemporary music, dance, visual arts, theatre, film, food and literature.
There will be a special screening of one of his biggest films, Amar Akbar Anthony.
AB blogged,"Egypt was a revelation on my visit there in 90s, the enthusiasm and the love of the people was incredible and invaluable. It still remains presumably, and I hope that my short visit gives me ample time to reach out to my well wishers and friends."
This is the third edition of the festival and will be held from March 30 to April 17.
The aim of the event is to facilitate collaborative exchanges between Indian and Egyptian literary figures, performers and visual artistes.
