This morning, the Narcotics Control Bureau raided Arjun Rampal’s Mumbai residence. The move was taken by the NCB after Rampal’s girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades' brother Agisialos Demetriades was arrested by NCB after granting bail. Arjun Rampal has been asked to join the investigation on November 11, reportedly. As per online reports, Hashish and Alprazolam tablets were seized from Gabriella’s brother, when NCB nabbed the South African from Pune. In their latest raid at Rampal’s residence, electronic gadgets have been seized by NCB.
Now NCB official has quashed the rumours of no substance being found at Rampal’s residence. An NCB official confirmed that they have found medicines falling under the NDPS act. Times Of India, quoted NCB official Sameer Wankhede saying in a statement, "Reports about nothing was recovered is not true, we conducted searches and found medicines that fall under the NDPS act. We have summoned Arjun Rampal and his girlfriend Gabriella to the NCB on November 11 and November 12.”
“Demetriades has been arrested from a resort in the Lonavala area of Mumbai. Drugs have been recovered from his possession. Alprazolam, a tablet that is banned in India was recovered during a raid at his home," earlier an official told ANI on Gabriella’s brother’s arrest.
ANI revealed that NCB questioned Rampal’s driver and also seized laptops, mobile phones, tablets and certain documents. Well, the development came nearly a month ago when Rampal’s girlfriend Gabriella’s brother was arrested by the Anti-Drug agency. Agisialos was allegedly a drug supplier in Bollywood and was in close contact with drug dealers linked to Sushant Singh Rajput and Rhea Chakraborty drug case.
