Arjun Rampal has found himself in legal soup as a man filed a complaint with Delhi Police against the actor for allegedly assaulting him at a five-star hotel (Shangri-La) there.
The complainant, Shobhit, claimed that the incident happened at around 3.30 am today when Arjun, who was deejaying at the hotspot, was being clicked by a photographer. Soon after, the actor allegedly grabbed his camera and threw it, hitting him.
"He threw a camera flashlight in the crowd hoping that someone will catch it. But it hit a man named Shobhit, aged between 25-30, in his head. He didn't sustain any grievous injuries but in the medical examination that was carried out, it has been found that it is a lacerated wound,” a senior police officer told PTI.
"He has given a complaint but we are legally examining it,” added the officer. As of now, no FIR has been registered against the actor.
Hours before he deejaying, the actor took to Instagram to tell fans about his whereabouts. He wrote, “Delhi get ready for an epic night at #prive The set is ready and we gonna make it very special. #prive #tonight #tunes#parrrtyyyyyy (sic).”
It is well known that Arjun has a passion for deejaying and often shuttles between Mumbai and Delhi. Last month, we spotted the actor turning DJ at Mumbai’s Playboy Club, Worli.
On the professional front, Arjun will next be seen in a biopic of gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli, called Daddy. The film has been directed by Ashim Ahluwalia and stars Arjun as Gawli.
Coming back to what transpired last night. Why so angry, Arjun?
A while ago, Arjun took to Twitter to deny the allegations levelled against him and said, “Woke up to be flooded by messages of assaulting a fan?Man!!Where do people make this news up from? Not assaulted anyone #untrue #fakenews (sic).”
