Arjun Kapoor who is awaiting the release of Sardar Ka Grandson recently opened up about his grandmother's wish. The actor revealed that he can't fulfill that particular wish of his dadi (grandmother), he says, "It's very difficult to fulfill my grandmother's wish because she wants grandkids and I can't be the one who can give her that, now we are relying purely on all the married Kapoor khandan ke chirag to fulfill that wish very quickly." It looks like this comment was directly hinted at cousin sister actress Sonam Kapoor who recently celebrated her third wedding anniversary with her husband Anand Ahuja.
Arjun who lost his mom Mona Kapoor nine years back to cancer shares his last conversation with her, "Before my mum passed I had a very honest chat with her and she had this wish that Anshula and I make it as individual as a human being, not about the success or failure of the work that we do, just as people. And I have always told her (mom) that this is something that I always make sure that Anshula represents the value system my mother has put in and even me to whatever degree. The conversation was to make sure that we become independent, self-sufficient well brought up kids, and represent her value and I think that's an ongoing process that will never end."
Speaking about his mom's wish he said, “My grandparents passed away very suddenly at that age, but for my mom, that last wish was always to see me on the big screen and unfortunately, I couldn't fulfill that because she died 45 days before the release of Ishaqzaade, but I did show her the trailer."
Sardar Ka Grandson starring Arjun Kapoor and Neena Gupta will also see Rakul Preet Singh, John Abraham, and Aditi Rao Hydari in pivotal roles. The film is scheduled to release on May 18 on Netflix.
