Screenwriter Apurva Asrani is now a proud owner of his new house with partner Siddhant. Yes, you heard it right. Apurva and Siddhant have been together for the longest time and have been staying on a rented apartment for 13 years, as revealed by him in his latest Twitter post. Now, the LGQBT couple Apurva and Siddhant finally got their new house and are super excited about it. Apurva took to his Twitter account to announce the news of his new house.

Asrani shared the picture of the nameplate of their new and first house and the one with his partner Siddhant. He wrote in his tweets, “For 13 years we pretended to be cousins so we could rent a home together. We were told 'keep curtains drawn so neighbors don't know 'what' you are'. We recently bought our own home. Now we voluntarily tell neighbors we are partners. It's time LGBTQ families are normalised too.” Apurva is best known for writing Aligarh movie. He even worked as an editor on the first season of Made in Heaven.

As soon as Apurva dropped the picture of new house, film writer Mushtaq Shiekh congratulated the duo by commenting, “More power to you guys. Big bear hug,” while Nikkhil Advani wrote, “Congrats guys!!!.” Singer-actor Sophie Choudry too dropped a heart emoji.

In 2018 Apurva went vocal about growing up as gay. While speaking to Indian Express he had said, “It’s the same for any person growing up in any sexually repressed society—you grow up in closets. It’s a dark space where no one else is allowed and all you have is a torch for company. You search inside your confined space for answers but there isn’t another soul who can share your feelings. You try and find answers through magazines, porn, noises that infiltrate from the outside world. It is lonely,” (ALSO READ: Apurva Asrani Celebrates Decriminalisation Of Homosexuality, Shares Loved-Up Pic With Boyfriend From Eiffel Tower)

Well due to the lockdown, all shoots have come to a standstill. But we are extremely happy for Apurva and Siddhant.
