Anushka Sharma believes in making her point crystal clear. No matter what the issue is, when the actress wants to comment, she makes sure she doesn’t mince her words.

We recently met with Anushka for an exclusive chat and while talking about the Censor Board and its regulations, Anushka shared her straightforward opinion.

Imtiaz Ali’s Jab Harry Met Sejal ran into censor trouble when one of its teasers showed Anushka Sharma using the word intercourse. CBFC Chief, Pahlaj Nihalani took objection to the same and said during an interview that he will pass the film with the word (intercourse) only if 1 lakh people vote for it.

Talking about the same, we asked Anushka for her opinion on the matter, to which pat came a reply, “Firstly, CBFC should be for certification and not censorship of words. Secondly, I think once a film has been certified, you have to leave it to the people, who have bought that ticket, to make an informed decision whether they want to watch the film or not based on the content.”

Interestingly, just a few days back, CBFC cleared the film without cuts and gave it a U/A certificate. However, it was unclear if Pahlaj Nihalani has allowed the word ‘Intercourse’ or Imtiaz deleted it before handing the final copy. When asked about it, Imtiaz at an event just said that they have made only a few audio changes.

Jab Harry Met Sejal, starring Shah Rukh Khan is Anushka’s third film with the superstar. The film is slated to hit theatres on August 4.
