Priyanka tweeted, “Quoting my favourite #MerylStreep, as I call an end to this night…when u have a broken heart..make art. You are astounding.”
While the Quantico star kept it short and sweet, her Bollywood counterpart Anushka Sharma took the opportunity to speak about the need to be non-judgemental.
In an open letter, she spoke about the need to be liberal, both as an artiste and a fan who likes to watch their work.

In her own words, Anushka said, “I don’t know why am I writing this. Or maybe I know.”
It is an established fact that the biggest conversation in the industry right now is Karan Johar’s book, An Unsuitable Boy, where he has finally come clean about his sexuality and addressed rumours about the relationship between him and Shah Rukh Khan (Karan Johar Opens Up About His Sexual Orientation For The 1ST Time, Jan 8).
Is Anushka’s open letter a well-timed response to the detractors of Karan?
“Curbing my need to be liberal is stomping on my right to be a better actor. I want to express myself and try to make people understand that strong judgements and staunch beliefs will lead you to a saturated society which will wither and fail eventually,” wrote Anushka.
