For a few months now, precisely after Bombay Velvet bit dust, word from the Phantom office is that Anurag Kashyap and his colleagues at Phantom Films aren't seeing eye-to-eye. The debacle of the Ranbir Kapoor-Anushka Sharma starrer has had a cascading effect on their professional relationship and while it is business as usual as far as film production is concerned, make no mistake- there is underlying tension.

SpotboyE.com brought you the story how the Queen director Vikas Bahl has distanced himself from Anurag (All's not well between Anurag Kashyap and Vikas Bahl, June 29). It's now Vikramaditya Motwane's turn.

Last Friday, an hour before the clock struck twelve, Kashyap ventured out to a bar in Andheri for a round of drinks and for some reason was seemingly angry. He wouldn't entertain any queries for photographs and when a person went up to him to say hello, he rudely turned him away. Minutes later, Motwane walked in and occupied another table at the same watering hole.

"They wouldn't even acknowledge each other, forget about having a chat. The past few months have been fraught with tension and their fights have become more frequent," a source close to the production house told us.

Could this mean that the indie-mainstream production house Phantom Films is set for a split?

As for this year, Phantom recently co-produced the critically-acclaimed Richa Chadda starrer Masaan and next has the Shahid Kapoor-Alia Bhatt-starrer Shaandar in the pipeline.
