Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has made a name for himself in the industry with his powerful movies. His daughter Aaliyah Kashyap, while having been away from the entertainment industry, enjoys a huge social media following just like her father. Being one of the most adored starkids, fans are always eager to know more about what she is upto. They were in for a treat when she took to her official handle to post pictures with her longtime boyfriend Shane Gregoire and announce their engagement.
On Saturday evening, Aaliyah took to Instagram to share pictures from a picturesque location. Dressed in a flowy dress, the 22-year-old flaunted her diamond ring in the picture. In another picture she was seen kissing Shane, who was dressed in white shirt and beige pants. Taking to the caption, she expressed her happiness of getting to know him and thanked him for showing her what “unconditional love feels like.”
She added, “Saying yes to you was the easiest thing i’ve ever done & i can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you, my love. I love you forever & always Fiancé (still can’t believe i get to call you that AAHHHH).” The filmmaker took to his Instagram stories to reshare her post and express his happiness. The emotional father wrote, “She is all grown up. So much that she is now engaged.” Even her fans and industry friends took to the comment section of her post to shower her with love and congratulatory messages.
Talking about how they had met each other, in one of her vlogs, Aaliyah had recalled that they met on a dating app, where she was the one to swipe on him first. She added, “On Hinge, it’s like, you swipe on them, and then there is a like section where you can see who has liked you. And then, you can either like them back or ignore it. So he liked me back and we spoke.”
For the unversed, Aaliyah is Anurag’s only daughter from his marriage to his first ex-wife Aarti Bajaj. They split in 2009, after tying the knot in 2003.
