Anurag Kashyap is not pro Modi government and he has made this evident a lot of times on social media via tweets and posts. A few days back, when BJP came into power again by winning the Lok Sabha Elections with a big lead, Anurag congratulated PM Modi for the victory, but also asked him how he should handle his bhakts who despise him for not being a Modi follower, so much so that a troll sent a rape threat to his teenage daughter, Aaliyah. The Manmarziyaan director had tweeted, “Dear @narendramodi sir. Congratulations on your victory and thank you for the message of inclusiveness. Sir please also tell us how do we deal with these followers of yours who celebrate your victory by threatening my daughter with messages like this for me being your dissenter."
After this tweet, many social media users condemned the act while many told him that the correct way to go about this is, seek Police’s help. Social activist Ashoke Pandit too got into a fight with Anurag while discussing the topic.

And now, Kashyap has filed an FIR against the troll under sections 504, 509 of Indian Penal code and 67 of information technology act. Anurag went to Amboli police station and lodged the complaint.
