Lok Sabha Elections 2019 turned out to be victorious for PM Narendra Modi led Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) as it swept over 300 seats. The entire nation was celebrating Modi’s win. Talking about Bollywood, a lot of celebrities congratulated PM Narendra Modi- those who supported his beliefs and also those who are not exactly Modi followers. Among the latter was Anurag Kashyap, who also wished PM on his victory. However, the filmmaker presented a question for him too.

Anurag while congratulating Modi informed him that one of PM’s ardent followers has sent a rape threat to his teenage daughter, Aaliyah. The comment read, "Apne baap ko bol ki apna ******** band kare, warna aisa ******* tujhe kisi ne aaj tak **** nahin hoga."

Kashyap asked PM how does one deal with such Modi Bhakts who cause threat to his daughter’s safety, just because he dissents the PM. Anurag tweeted, “Dear @narendramodi sir. Congratulations on your victory and thank you for the message of inclusiveness. Sir please also tell us how do we deal with these followers of yours who celebrate your victory by threatening my daughter with messages like this for me being your dissenter.”

While many netizens condemned the troll for sending such obscene message to Kashyap’s daughter, other recommended that Anurag files a cyber cell complaint.

Anurag has been quite vocal about being a non-supporter of Modi government. In fact, his Twitter bio reads, "Neither Left nor Right or Centre. I am Diagonal." Just a month ago, he took to Twitter to share a 'Vote For Modi' WhatsApp message that he had received and called it "self-explanatory."
