Anurag Basu’s Next Metro Cast: Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Rajkummar Rao

Here’s the star cast of Anurag Basu’s next which is set in an Indian Metro. The multi-starrer will feature Abhishek Bachchan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Rajkummar Rao, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanya Malhotra and Pankaj Tripathi as the principal cast. The director and producer Bhushan Kumar will finalise the rest of the cast soon.

According to a report in Bombay Times, Basu had already shot for major sequences with Abhishek Bachchan in Mumbai and Kolkata, last year. While speaking to the leading daily, Anurag said, “It's my pleasure to be working with Bhushan Kumar for my next that is a dark comic anthology. It's our first collaboration but doesn't seem like one. I am extremely happy to have found this talented new generation cast, though I will trust my old friend Pritam for music as always.” 

Bhushan Kumar added, “Anurag is a master storyteller and brings magic to celluloid in his films. I am happy we are working together. The characters, the story are so compelling yet the treatment is so amusing. We have tried to bring on board a terrific cast who perfectly fit the roles that are written. The way the script and shooting are in the process, Anurag and I are already planning on doing another project. I am keen on doing more films with Anurag and his team.” 

A few days back, Rajkummar Rao had shared first glimpse of him with Fatima on social media. Sharing the picture he had written, “बहुत जल्दी सामने आयेंगे आप लोगों के। तब तक के लिए एक झलक। #AnuragBasu sir’s next with @fattysanashaikh”

Meanwhile, this slice-of-life film will be high on drama and emotions. The plot will have 4 different stories which will intersect with each other.
