The trailer of Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma's Antim: The Final Truth has taken the internet by a storm. It has stirred excitement amongst fans and they are now eagerly waiting for the film’s release. The trailer was launched at a multiplex in Mumbai by Salman, Aayush and director Mahesh Manjrekar.
As they released the trailer of the film, Salman Khan said he hoped that good times will be back for cinema halls. "There is no alternative to big screen. Did you feel the chairs moving with music? So you see, small phones can never be alternative to the cinema hall," he said.
Aayush Sharma was quizzed about the action sequences. When asked if he was scared to throw a punch at Salman, he was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times, “Sir, maine side mein bola tha, ‘Gaadi ready rakhna, galti se haath idhar-udhar ho gaya toh main direct bhaag ke gaadi mein baith jaunga."
Salman joked, “Jaoge bhi toh ghar hi jaoge." Here, Salman refers to the fact that Aayush is married to his sister Arpita Khan.
Aayush laughed and said that he was afraid of punching Salman. “Bhai is very kind. Real life mein toh kaafi sweet hai but jab aap movie set pe dekhte ho, that’s when you realise ki aap Salman Khan ke saamne khade ho aur aapko unko punch maarna hai. I think that way, thoda palpitation type ho gaya tha mujhe."
Directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, Antim: The Final Truth is Salman and Aayush’s first collaboration. The film features them locking horns as a police officer and a gangster respectively.
The film has been in the works for quite some time. It was during the shooting of this movie that Mahesh Manjrekar was detected with cancer. The filmmaker continued to shoot the film as he battled through the disease.
Salman, to this end, was quoted as saying by ETimes, "He didn't tell us before. As soon as he finished a part of the shoot he got himself operated."
Mahesh said, "I have lost 35 kilos. It was during the shooting of the last portions of Antim that I was diagnosed with cancer. But today I am cancer free."
He added, "I was lucky that the chemotherapy didn't affect me. I was going through chemotherapy through the shoot. Later I underwent surgery. It is my passion towards work that drove me. When I got to know I have cancer, it didn't shock me. I know there are so many people who have cancer and they fight and survive."
Antim: The Final Truth, also starring debutante Mahima Makwana, will be out in theatres on November 26.
