Sunn Raha Hai Na
Tu fame Ankit Tiwari is all set to get married on February 23. Ankit’s to-be-wife, Pallavi Shukla is a mechanical engineer who has been living in Bangalore since the last 10 years. “I’ve introduced her and her family to my work and life in Mumbai where she will live after marriage,” says Ankit.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Ankit’s grandmother met Pallavi Shukla on
a train from Kanpur to Delhi last year in October when she realised that
Pallavi is the perfect match for her grandson. Within three months, their
families fixed the wedding date.
According to the leading tabloid, the couple will get engaged on February 20,
then after the traditional haldi, sangeet and mehendi ceremonies, Ankit and
Pallavi will tie the knot in a typical North Indian shaadi on February 23 in
Kanpur, followed by a reception on February 26. The families will also host a
reception in Mumbai once Ankit returns from his Delhi, Chandigarh and Kolkata
tours by the month-end.
“Usually weddings in our family last 10-12 days, but Ankit doesn’t have the time. His shows are booked months in advance and we worked around his dates,” Ankit’s older brother Ankur was quoted by Mirror.
Since they belong to conservative families, Ankit and his family don’t wish to
share a picture of the bride-to-be until the pheras happen.
Many congratulatins to Ankit and Pallavi!
