The cult movie Mr. India is loved by one and all even years after its release. The iconic film starred Anil Kapoor, Sridevi, and Amrish Puri, among others and it released on May 25, 1987. Amrish Puri’s role as the villain Mogambo in the film is still etched in our memory even today, and his dialogue, ‘Mogambo Khush Hua’ is an all-time favorite. However, did you know, the director of the film Shekhar Kapur hadn’t watched the film in one go since it was released?
Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, on Tuesday revealed that until now, he hadn’t completely watched Mr. India in one go, and now that he finally did, he shared what arouses so much excitement among viewers even after so many years. His tweet read, “Finally I watched Mr. India again. I had not seen it in one go since it’s Premier! And can finally answer the question. How come after 34 years it still arouses so much excitement and interest? Innocence. There is innocence in every moment, every frame. And yes, even in Mogambo!”
