Nowadays, anything can turn into a meme and if it goes viral on social media, expect it to be a successful venture. Usually, the things that turned out to be memes are from recent incidents. However, the one we are going to talk about is two decades old. Yep! Interestingly, Twitterati are currently hooked to an iconic scene of Anil Kapoor from the film Nayak. So much so that they have given it a hilarious meme twist that will leave you in splits.
Starring Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukherjee, Paresh Rawal and Amrish Puri in pivotal roles, the 2000 film Nayak is one of the cult classics, thanks to its multiple TV reruns.
Twitterati cannot seem to get over one particular scene of Nayak and have started this meme fest on the micro-blogging site. The template shows Kapoor nervously wiping his forehead with a handkerchief and drinking water. The scene is when Anil Kapoor, who essayed the role of a journalist, is taking Amrish Puri's, who played Maharashtra Chief Minister in the film, interview. After the journalist was challenged to become a CM for one day, he gets nervous before agreeing to the offer. The snippet of this movie has once again surfaced online with people giving a hilarious twist.
One user commented, “When you are on diet but mumma deliberately serves you an aloo ka parantha w extra butter,” while the other one said, “When you enjoying the function and someone ask 'Future ke baarein mein kya socha hai?'”

Nayak: The Real Hero was directed by S Shankar. It was a remake of his 1999 Tamil film, Mudhalvan. It did not get much appreciation back then, but is now considered a relevant film and enjoys multiple reruns on several TV channels.
