Ironically, this is the first Anil Kapoor - Madhuri Dixit film that has crossed the Rs 150 Cr mark at the box office. The couple's iconic pairing was the biggest draw for the comedy entertainer, with audiences raving about their chemistry in the film.

Anil Kapoor in an interview said, “I'm so thrilled to see how much people are enjoying Total Dhamaal! We set out to make an out and out family entertainer and judging by audiences' response, we seem to have accomplished that mission! It was such a blast making the film and I'm so happy that the fun has spilled onto the screen and into people's hearts!”

The actor has reunited with Madhuri Dixit after a gap of 19 years for this film. Anil Kapoor is happy that he got to share screen space with Madhuri once again. "This film I am very happy that we (Madhuri and I) did together because it is a mainstream commercial hardcore thing which truly wants to entertain and there is no confusion about it," added Anil.
