Bollywood actress Ananya Panday enjoys a huge social media following. While the actress has yet to create a mark with her acting performance in the hearts of the audience, she often impresses them with her fashionable looks. Ever since she made her acting debut with Student Of The Year 2, she has been on the receiving end of trolling. Now she has finally opened up about the time the netizens had slammed her for her ‘struggle’ comment on Rajiv Masand’s chat show.
Talking about it on Karan Johar’s celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan season 8, Ananya addressed the trolling she had to go through for her struggle comment at an actors’ roundtable conference which was also attended by Siddhanth Chaturvedi. Quoted by NDTV, she started by saying, “Honestly, I don't want to sound like I'm victimising myself, saying oh it's so tough for me. It's tough for everyone. It's not easy for anyone in this business no matter at what stage they're in their careers. All I have ever worked for is validation.” ALSO READ: WHAT? The 25-year-old actress goes on to state how she is the daughter of a man, actor Chunkey Panday, who is a ‘huge people-pleaser,’ which is why all she has wanted is love from people around her. She went on to add that she wants the viewers to think that she is worthy of all the opportunities that she is getting. As she expresses her excitement towards the kind of work she has been receiving, she says that she has felt the love of her fans bu sometimes she feels like she hasn’t gotten the respect yet, which is something she has been working towards. The Dream Girl 2 actress added, “I do feel that just because we have grown up in the industry, it's weird because there are moments of our lives that are just permanently present for people to watch and judge, even though we have changed so much from them. I have changed, and I'm hoping people see that and grow with me and see that change.”
On the work front, Ananya Panday has projects like Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, Call Me Bae and an untitled project with filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane in her pipeline. She was last seen in Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Dream Girl 2, which left the audience and the critics with mixed reactions.
