Budding actress Ananya Panday is on cloud nine. Winning her first black lady of her career for the best debut female category for her movie Student Of The Year 2, the actress’ happiness knew no boundaries. Recognised with this award in the presence of her mother Bhavana Panday in Guwahati, Assam on February 15, 2020 at Filmfare Awards 2020, she spilled the beans about her preparation for the acceptance speech. Just for less initiated ones, she played the role of Shreya Randhawa opposite Tiger Shroff in the film. 

Spilling the beans about her acceptance speech, she revealed of practicing it in front of a mirror with a water bottle as a mic. Though she practiced it nth number of times, she completely forgot when she went up on the stage. She was quoted saying by Mumbai Mirror, “I Had Practiced It So Many Times, But When I Went On Stage I Forgot Everything. Winning A Filmfare Black Lady Is A Big Deal For Me. My Mom (Bhavana Panday) Was There With Me And How I Wished Dad (Chunky Panday) Was There, Too. But I Gave The Trophy To Him When I Reached Home.” 

Ananya wore off-shoulder black top paired with a yellow skirt and let her hair loose for the award night. Further, in her conversation, she also mentioned of her father Chunkey Panday’s suggestion to place her Filmfare trophy in the living room, so that everyone can admire it.

Ananya Panday is super elated for being paired opposite South star Vijay Deverakonda for his Bollywood debut. Besides this, she also has Khaali Peeli opposite Ishaan Khatter directed by Maqbool Khan.
