One film old Vardhan Puri, who debuted in 2019, with the thriller Yeh Saali Aashiqui, turns 31 today. Amrish Puri’s grandson shares that every year he tries to make this day a meaningful one in his life and this year he aims to do the same. “Every birthday I try to do something that can have some kind of an impact on the society and the world at large and this year, with the current state of the country in this Covid-19 crisis, it is needed more than ever,” he says, sharing his plan for the day.
“My family runs a charitable trust and we are coming together with an NGO to try our bit to help the Covid patients and the underprivileged people. There is an activity undertaken in Mumbai and a small town in Punjab near Hoshiarpur where we are providing beds and oxygen cylinders to patients. We are trying to reach out to at least 500 people if not more. That’s the plan and I will be busy with that,” Vardhan reveals.
Apart from helping people, Vardhan also has some personal activities planned so as to bring in the day and celebrate with his loved ones. “I will be spending time with my parents, sister and her husband and cooking a meal for them. I just learnt cooking recently and have been enjoying it during the lockdown. I think I have been doing a fairly good job at that,” he smiles, adding that he is also working on himself and his craft. “I am going to find some time to work out, meditate, do some readings with one of my directors and also write something. I plan to do the things that I love,” he concludes.
