Shortly after Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan confirmed of testing positive for COVID-19, their family members and staff underwent the required medical test later that evening. Now as per reports Jaya Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan who also underwent the antigen test have tested negative. The news was confirmed by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials after receiving the update from Nanavati hospital. Their residence, Jalsa in Juhu has been sanitized and sealed. The three have meanwhile tested negative for Coronavirus in the rapid antigen test, conducted last evening.
After Big B and Abhishek were declared positive for novel Coronavirus, as per the protocol their residence was declared as a containment zone by the BMC officials. Currently both Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan are kept in isolation at Nanavati hospital in Mumbai. As per further reports, on Sunday morning after being shifted to the hospital, Big B’s health has been stable, confirmed hospital authorities. Besides which the reports also mentioned the megastar would update his fans about his health, via his social networking account.
As per reports in Hindustan Times, Mumbai mayor Kishori Pednekar was quoted saying, “Jaya Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were tested last night using rapid antigen kit. Both have tested negative, but have been quarantined for 14 days. They will be again tested after their quarantine period is completed.”
She also added, “BMC has carried sanitisation of Amitabh Bachchan’s residence today morning, and it has been declared as containment zone starting today. No-one will be allowed to enter or exit from the house. Mumbai Police has also done barricading there.
