While a lot of celebrities are expressing their opinion
on the current wave of #MeToo movement, Amitabh Bachchan also has something to
share. On the eve of his birthday, Big B took to his Twitter account to post a
questionnaire. Among a lot other questions asked to him, one was on the sexual
harassment against women.
When asked that how does he view the atrocities
against women children and weaker sections, if he feels there is a solution to
the social inequality that fosters widespread injustice, Amitabh Bachchan
replied, “No woman should ever be subjected to any kind of misbehaviour,
or disorderly conduct; especially at her work place. Such acts should
immediately be brought to the notice of concerned authorities, and corrective
measures be taken, either through filing complaints or a recourse to law.
Discipline and civic, social and moral curriculums, should be adopted at a very
early educational level. Women children and the weaker sections of our society
are the most vulnerable. They need to be under special protective care. It has
been most heartening to see women representations in most work vocations, on
the increase in our country. It would be an unrepairable blemish if we are not
able to provide them the welcome they deserve and the dignity of the security
of their presence.”
The latest ones to be embroiled in the controversy are
Rajat Kapoor, Alok Nath, Kailash Kher, Subhash Kapoor. This morning we told
you, how Aamir Khan has backed out of T-Series venture, Mogul in the
wake of sexual harassment allegations against the film’s director, Subhash
Kapoor. The director, in return, has said that he will prove his
innocence.
