Amitabh Bachchan Reminisces His Iconic Film Deewaar Co-Starring Shashi Kapoor As He Shoots For Mayday At The Same Location After 4 Decades: ‘Been A While’

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is currently shooting for his upcoming film Mayday, took to his social media account today, to share some pictures from the sets of his film. While giving us a glimpse into his character in Mayday, he also shared an interesting fact about the location where the shooting for Mayday is taking place. Interestingly, Big B revealed that it is the same location where he had shot for his iconic film Deewaar back in 1975.

Amitabh Bachchan took to his Instagram and shared now and then pictures of the shoot location. Sharing the collage, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, "Deewar 1975 .. Mayday 2021 .. looking back in time .. the same corridor .. the same location .. so many film shoots here of several films of mine .. but today .. this came up." Rakul Preet Singh reacted to this post of Big B and wrote, “Sirrr” followed by a red heart emoji.

Further, in another post, Big B points out an arch in the stone building and recalls the scene that was shot at that spot. He wrote, “Looking back on time .. see that arch in the stone building at the back .. in a shadow loop .. Police Officer Shashi Kapoor shoots his brother Vijay in DEEWAR at that spot in film .. today shooting same place for MAYDAY .. 42 years later .. Deewar made in 1979 to today 2021 ..Been a while !!”


Mayday also stars Ajay Devgn and Rakulpreet Singh. Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Shoojit Sircar’s Gulabo Sitabo, along with Ayushmann Khurrana, and the film had released on Amazon Prime Video amid the lockdown. Big B will also next be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, Chehre, and sports drama Jhund.
