Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan continues to extend help to the needy amidst the COVID-19 crisis in the country. Big B has made generous donations to Coronavirus healthcare facilities and done his best to help during the global pandemic. Once again, the actor has come forward to help. This time, Big B has ordered 50 oxygen concentrators from Poland for emergency use in Mumbai. In his latest blog, the Gulabo Sitabo actor expressed his gratitude to many who helped him successfully bring in 50 oxygen concentrators to the country.
In his recent blog, Amitabh Bachchan thanked the government of Poland, the Mayor of the City of Wroclaw, the Ambassador of India at Warsaw and the LOT Polish Airlines. The actor informed in his blog that 50 oxygen concentrators will be shipped out of Poland on May 15. In his blog, Big B added, “The ones I have ordered are the 5 litre ones and in a few days I shall be buying another 50 hopefully of the 10 litre ones and donate them to a Hospital with proper medical care.”
The Piku actor also informed his fans about placing an order for ventilators. He mentioned he has placed an order for 20 ventilators, 10 of which have been delivered to the BMC, while a few have been sent to a few Municipal Hospitals in Mumbai. Amitabh Bachchan informed that the rest 10 ventilators are expected to be delivered by the end of this month.
This latest update had come days after the superstar contributed Rs 2 Crore for the COVID-19 care facility in Delhi. Meanwhile, it was only recently when Amitabh Bachchan faced severe backlash for not contributing to the COVID-19 crisis. The actor then hit out at the trolls. He took to his blog to share detailed information of the donations he has made even before the pandemic outbreak. Big B also mentioned he has adopted two children who lost their parents due to Coronavirus and has taken up their responsibility.
