2020 has been a year which everyone is waiting to get over, and before 2021 begins megastar Amitabh Bachchan has already taken a precautionary step to keep 2021 away from the evil eye. The actor in his quirky Instagram post applied an ancient technique of hanging lemon and green chillies to the numeric 2021. In his Instagram post he shared there are just a few days left for 2020 to get over and hopes nothing more unpleasant happens now, hence hangs lemon and green chillies.
Amitabh Bachchan’s Instagram caption read, “दो हज़ार बीस के अंत पर , अब कुछ ही दिन तो बाक़ी है नज़र ना लगे, इक्कीस वाली टंगड़ी पर भाईया, नीबु मिर्ची टांग दे !!! This post of the actor had his Brahmastra co-star Mouni Roy comment on it, she posted evil eye, followed by red heart. Actor Karanvir Bohra posted a emojis with tears in its eyes. Actress Neelam Kothari too posted an emoji of folded hands, praying for the same. This post of the actor received a lot of comments.

This year had the outbreak of COVID-19 which imposed lockdown across the globe, the actor was also tested positive for it, followed by being hospitalised. Along with him, his son Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan were tested positive for COVID-19.
