On July 11, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were tested positive for Coronavirus with mild symptoms. Both of them informed one and all that they have been shifted to Nanavati Hospital for the treatment. After few days, Abhishek's wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and their daughter Aaradhya also tested positive for COVID-19 while other family members like, Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan, her daughter Navya Naveli and son Agastya Nanda have tested negative. Aishwarya and Aaradhya were initially home quarantined but after 4 days both developed symptoms and hence they too were shifted to Nanavati Hospital.
After they informed about their health, social media has been pouring in prayers and wishes for their fast recovery. Amongst many, veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar too is worried about Bachchan family's health, especially for little Aaradhya. While speaking with Bollywood Hungama, Lata Ji was quoted saying, “It’s like a slap in the face. It is hard to believe that the virus has struck Bachchan Saab and his family. The virus spares no one. We need to understand that it is here to stay. It’s not going anywhere for some time now.” She added that she is especially worried about Aaradhya.
She further told the portal, “Choti hai woh. Bachchi hai. Ussey aise kasht nahi honi chahiye. Main poore parivar ke liye duayen mangtee hoon aur khaas kar ke Aaradhya ke liye (She is a child, she shouldn’t suffer. I pray for the entire Bachchan family and especially for Aaradhya). I wish them a speedy recovery. I am sure all of them Amitabhji, Jayaji, Aishwarya, Abhishek and their daughter Aaradhya will be fine in no time at all.”
