Ranvir Shorey who was last seen in Lootcase alongside Kunal Kemmu is seen in a new web-show, titled, High. The new series revolves around the theme of drug mafia and drugs. However, during the course of the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, NCB got involved after seeing alleged links with narcotics. While Bollywood and its connection to drugs is still being discussed, Ranvir Shorey whose new series is also on the same lines said that marijuana should be legalised in India.
While talking about it to Hindustan Times, he was asked if the use of drugs was really a part of the party culture in Bollywood, the actor told the portal, “I think drug consumption in Bollywood is the same proportion as it is generally in society. I have seen drugs at non-Bollywood parties as well.” The Sonchiriya actor further said, “I am of the belief that even marijuana should be legal in India. It is based on very archaic laws; it is legal in a lot of countries. I believe this is another colonial hangover that we have -- laws which are hundreds of years old and have not been changed. Marijuana laws are so old, they ought to be changed now.”
Meanwhile, High starring Akshay Oberoi, Ranvir Shorey, Mrinmayee Godbole, Shweta Basu Prasad, Kunal Naik, Prakash Belawadi, Nakul Bhalla, Mantra and Madhur Mittal is currently streaming on MX Player. SpotboyE.com has given 3 stars to the new web series and asserted it to be an all-time entertainer for all the crime-thriller lovers. A part of the review read, "The cliff-hangers throughout the series leave the viewer guessing about what’s going to happen next, maintaining the suspense till the end."
