The Russia-Ukraine conflict has entered Day 20 and is clearly showing no signs of ending any time soon. A few days ago, more than 30 Russian cruise missiles targeted the sprawling facility at Yavoriv which resulted in killing 35 people. With each passing day, the tension between both nations is getting intensified. Amidst the Russia-Ukraine crisis, an old video of Shah Rukh Khan where he talked about the sadness, loneliness, and futility of War has gone viral on social media.
In the video, the Raees actor had expressed his thoughts explaining how war leads to sadness and loneliness. SRK can be heard saying, “Only the dead have seen the end of war. Nobody knows when a war is going to end. It only ends for the guys who have died. So there is a lot of futility in war.” He added, “There is a lot of sadness in war. There's a lot of loneliness in war. And whatever the reasons anyone gives for it, good, bad, ugly, revenge, nice strong, need of the hour - the fact is that war is not nice. War is not an alternative to peace and goodness. War is not an alternative to love, discussion, talks or even tiffs. War is not something that anyone should go in for.”
The video has won the hearts of netizens owing to its powerful message. Many agreed with the actor and said everyone should stand for peace, not for war. To note, Shah Rukh had played the role of a soldier in his popular DD National television series 'Fauji' before making it a big in Bollywood. He played Air Force officer in Veer Zaara and an Army officer in Yash Raj’s Main Hoon Na.
