A few days ago, reports emerged that Ranbir Kapoor has contracted Coronavirus. Though it was being speculated that he is COVID-19 positive, it got confirmed only after mother Neetu Kapoor posted the same on social media. Neetu Kapoor made a post on Instagram stating that Ranbir is COVID-19 positive and is in self-isolation. Now, it is being reported that Alia Bhatt's birthday bash has been postponed because of the same.
As reported by Times Of India, Ranbir Kapoor was planning for a birthday bash for Alia on March 15. However, due to his health, all the plans have now been pushed for a later date. Post Ranbir testing positive for Coronavirus, Alia Bhatt too underwent the test but she tested negative. Despite testing negative, Alia has reportedly put herself in self-isolation. Etimes had earlier quoted a source saying, “Alia takes the test nearly every day and today also she has tested negative but has still isolated herself. Ranbir Kapoor caught the virus on the sets of ‘Brahmastra’ and is recovering currently."
Neetu Kapoor in her post for Ranbir also mentioned that he is on the path of recovery. She wrote, "Thank you for your concern and your good wishes. Ranbir has tested positive for Covid-19. He is on medication and recovering well . He is in self quarantine at home and following all precautions."
Following this, the shooting of Brahamastra directed by Ayan Mukerji has been put on hold. Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi director Sanjay Leela Bhansali too tested positive for Coronavirus recently.
