The recent abduction and
molestation of a Malayalam actress sent shock waves through the Southern film
industry and made headlines across the country.
And the incident seems to have gotten Alia Bhatt
thinking. She told a leading daily that she was taken aback by the news.

“It’s something which is not getting better at all. It makes me more sad than worried, though. It all seems so unnatural, like things that happen only in scary movies. It’s shocking that it can happen to any of us walking on the road right now. I don’t know who to turn to and question why all this has happened. There’s no answer,” said the actress who is currently busy promoting her upcoming film Badrinath Ki Dulhania where she is paired opposite Varun Dhawan.

Stars are at their most vulnerable while making public appearances but Alia has said that the incident has not prompted her to beef up her own security arrangement.
“It didn’t cross my mind at all but yeah, it could happen to anybody. But I think it’s something we have to take up seriously,” said the young actress.
When prodded further, Alia ended the conversation, saying: “I don’t want to talk too much about it because I anyway feel there’s a lot of attention on it and I’m sure that’s the last thing someone who’s going through all this, would want right now. She would not want any more attention.”
